Sirin Labs started by Kenges Rekishev, Moshe Hogg and Talk Cohen in 2013 rolled out the Rolls Royce of smartphones – a device that puts together “the highest privacy settings and operates faster than any other phone”. Solarin provides a very advanced privacy setting. It has partnered with Koolspan for integrating chip-to-chip 256 – AES encryption. It is similar to the protection used by military for its communications. This has to be activated through a physical switch placed on the back of the phone. Solarin comes with built-in security software. The security switch puts on the ‘shielded mode’ which helps the phone for making protected calls. The working of the phone has not been made very clear.
Solarin possesses a QUALCOMM Snapdragon 810 processor and bets greater Wi-Fi connectivity compared to other mobile phones. It has a 23.8 megapixel rear camera and 5.5″ IPS LED 2k resolution screen.

Solarin is a product which is priced at 13,800 dollars and is a luxury of the super-rich. It will go for online sale globally, at Sirin Labs first retail store in Mayfair, London from June 1 and at Harrods, Knightsbridge from June 30.
Apart from London which is Sirin Labs’ customers’ home, additional retail stores will put across Europe, North America and Asia.
The designer of the phone is Karim Rashid. Solarin has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protecting the display screen and camera lens. Its metal matrix composite chassis incorporates titanium panels.
Initially the phone is available in four flavors: Fire Black Carbon Leather with Titanium; Fire Black Carbon Leather with Diamond-like Carbon; Fire Black Carbon Leather with Yellow Gold; Crystal White Carbon Leather with Diamond-like Carbon.
